SUMMARY

This position serves as an expert in project leadership and change management within the organization through use of project management methods to initiate, execute, and control projects. Projects often include drastic process reengineering through partnership with IT to implement new technology solutions. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and executing initiatives, communicating with stakeholders, vendors, and partners, managing project budgets, and ensuring projects meet customer requirements. Serves as an informal leader of a project team and coaches/mentors others on project management methodology. May serve as a direct supervisor to other members of a project team. Provides consultation to functional areas within the organization on business problems, defining business processes, and researching/identifying customer requirements, best practices, and enabling technology. (Multiple business processes or major business process). Seen as a leader when implementing change and provides consultation to other functional areas regarding change management best practices.

Formulates approaches that achieve desired business results. *Directs the development of the business case. *Participates in the Organization annual and strategic planning. *Serves as a mentor to others to formulate and achieve desired business results using project management methodology. Impacts from projects typically result in: *Major technology impacts within the organization and broader enterprise. *New skills or processes required in the existing organization. Major change management required. *Vast number of cross-functional stakeholder touchpoints.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifies, recommends, and implements process improvement initiatives or large-scale projects or transformative business process improvements impacting multiple functions.
  • Facilitates the re-engineering of transformative business processes and directs and coaches process owners through transition and implementation. Ensures process changes align with the Department objectives and are documented and communicated appropriately. Serves as a coach/mentor to others on project management methodologies.
  • Develops and delivers communication plan to department management and develops strategy for issue resolution. Ensures development and execution of training and communication plans. Serves as an expert in change management methodologies for the department.
  • Responsible for establishing project approach and timeline for achieving business objectives. Applies appropriate corporate project methodologies and conducts stakeholder updates/stage gates, as required. Partners with department management and Finance to ensure compliance with established budget, if applicable.
  • Leads development of work plan and leads project team to complete established work plan for each phase of a project. Ensures project deliverables are applicable and responsive to business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • BS in business administration, project management, computer science, supply chain, or other related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of project experience, or equivalent. Certification in project management preferred.
  • Proven proficiency in leading projects and managing change. *Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, analytical, and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and lead project team. *Ability to share expertise of current technologies, best practice business processes, project methodologies and strong customer focus
  • Positive attitude: Results-oriented, Tolerance of ambiguity, Excellent problem-solving and opportunity identification skills, Work process management, Facilitation/negotiation, Persuasiveness, Delegation, Presentation skills, often to senior leaders.
  • Ability to energize others, Understands business process engineering.
  • Upholds a "customer first" mindset and prioritizes the customer experience.
  • Experience leading project teams.
  • May serve as a team leader and/or direct the work of others. May serve as a direct leader of other members of a project team.
  • Some travel may be required depending on project needs.

COMPENSATION: Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $88,235.00 to $136,765.00
