We are seeking a Full time Family Medicine Physician with interest in teaching and training the next generation of physicians.

The Carolinas Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program isa 12/12/12 residency program in Charlotte, NC that includes 3 tracks for residents - Urban Underserved/ Biddle Point, Traditional / Elizabeth, and Community Apprenticeship / Union. Atrium Healthis partnered with the new Wake Forest University School of Medicine Charlotte Campus with students actively participating in clinical activities within the clinics. The Charlotte campus medical school emphasizes educating underrepresented students in medicine and caring for those in underserved communities.

AH Elizabeth Family Medicine is a full scope Family Medicine community clinic that is part of a large integrated physician network with access to system level resources across the care continuum. Ideal candidates will be passionate about caring for underserved, medically complex patients within a practice that embodies diversity of race, culture, ethnicity and language. A patient centered focus is the heart of the practice; collegiality, professionalism and compassion are values of greatest importance.

Position Highlights:

• Join a robust team of attending physicians, APPS, and family medicine residents and fellows
• 0.9 Clinical/ 0.1 Precepting (negotiable depending on the needs of clinic and department)
• Monday-Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm, No Call
• Work closely with Clinic leadership team- Practice Manager, Nursing Supervisor and Clerical Supervisor for excellent patient care provision
• Clinical responsibilities will include patient care at the Elizabeth Family Medicine practice, along with precepting Family Medicine residents and medical students
• Faculty responsibilities will include evaluating residents and students and to serve as an advisor for residents, with the opportunity for curriculum development
• Opportunity to do typical outpatient procedures like colposcopies, contraceptive devices, I&D, benign lesion removals, joint injections, etc.
