The Material Movement Specialist position in Leavenworth is on 3rd Shift (11:30pm - 8:00am). The Materials Movement Specialist reports through the Warehouse Department in the Leavenworth Production facility. Individuals in this department transport stock and recycled material to and from the warehouse to the production areas. The Materials Movement Specialist in Leavenworth is responsible for operating various types of material movement equipment and attachments to all support production areas. Examples include Sit Down/Standup Propane and electric powered equipment including the following attachments Fork Lift, Roll Clamp, Box Clamp, Push/Pull Slipsheeter and Hi-bay reach trucks. Loads and unloads incoming and outgoing trailers. This role will also locate stock in the warehouse and fill orders for manufacturing using a variety of powered equipment. Additional responsibilities include loading and unloading pallets on and off of conveyor and using freight elevators as necessary, operate corrugate and paper balers to compress recyclable materials into bales, and transport hazardous waste material in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. The Material Movement Specialist is responsible for all documentation related to stock movement, and positively participates in performance dialogues and other team problem-solving activities. Identifies potential problems, and shows willingness to proactively work on problem resolution and alternative solutions to traditional methods of operation. Flexibility is key as the incumbent will be expected to move to different work assignments as needed. Incumbent will be expected to learn and perform multiple assignments within this job classification.
