The Sales Engineering team enables Juniper to sell and support sophisticated networking and security solutions.

What we will challenge you to achieve

  • Provide pre-sales technical consultation in the design, engineering, sale, and implementation of sophisticated products, applications, and solutions.
  • Working in partnership with sales teams, strategic and industry partners in assessing our products' potential application, ensuring that optimum systems solutions are provided to new and existing customers.
  • Proven experience of process, tools, and techniques for responding to a customer's proposals (RFP, RFQ, RFI) and create viable proposals that grow Juniper's business in a driven and opportunity-filled sales environment.
  • Experience and knowledge in developing and consulting on architecture designs, engineering bill of materials, and implementation specifications for next-generation networks and solutions.
  • Use your industry and product knowledge to engage and influence customer technology strategies through showcasing Juniper technologies during technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, proof of concept, and trial engagements.
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong professional relationships with customer IT decision-makers and industry partner community
  • Deliver training and support to our industry partners and customer engineers.

What you need to have

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in a technical/pre-sales role as a Sales or Systems Engineer.
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, and or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in designing/engineering/consulting on LAN/WAN, Campus, Data Center, Security, Wireless, and Cloud technology solutions.
  • Experience of Juniper product line, key competitors' products, and vertical market use cases.
  • Confirmed experience and hands-on expertise with networking industry technologies across routing, switching, and security technology domains from a pre-sale, operational or engineering point of view
  • Solid interpersonal, relationship, and communication skills with experience in customer-facing sales activities (presenting, whiteboarding etc.).
  • Proven technical capability, ability to learn quickly, and apply skills in new protocols and applications.
  • Routing Protocols (IGPs, EGPs, Layer-2/3 VPN's)
  • Proven experience of Campus network design (Access, Dist and Core layer)
  • Proven experience of datacenter network design (EVPN/VXLAN, Clos architectures, underlay fabric)
  • Proven experience of MPLS and WAN network design (LDP, RSVP, etc.)
  • Experience of network security (NGFW, UTM, DDoS, IPSec, MACSec, SIEM)
  • Experience with wireless technologies
  • Hands-on experience with either Juniper or other vendors solutions

What we would love you to have

  • Experience of emerging technology areas. This includes Virtualization, VMWare, OpenStack, VNF, and Container solutions.
  • DevOps experience in automation using Python, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, YANG, JSON, Netconf and Ansible.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, GCP and Azure
  • JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE, etc. or other industry certification is desired

Minimum Salary: $174,080.00

Maximum Salary:$250,240.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $174,080.00 and $250,240.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
