Location:Education Training and Development Center -12451 Gateway BlvdFort Myers FL 33913 Department: IS Clinical Systems Work Type: Full Time Shift: Shift 1/ to Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$22.73 - $29.55 / hour SummaryThe Pharmacy Automation Technician is directly responsible system-wide for maintenance and support of pharmacy automation systems (e.g., automated dispense cabinets, medication delivery robots, packaging machines) consistent with the Lee Health Pharmacy Department vision Optimizing patient outcomes through interdisciplinary medication management. The Pharmacy Automation Technician also serves as a primary liaison to any health system operational areas impacted by or utilizing pharmacy automation systems, working to achieve the following goals in collaboration with Pharmacy, Nursing, Anesthesia and other disciplines as needed: Implement workflow to optimize efficiency and safety of patient care in the medication use processes Repair, maintain and reconfigure automation hardware and software as directed Monitor automation utilization metrics such as workload, discrepancies, stock-outs, etc Provide education and training processes for end users of the automation systems Disseminate information to all users of the automation system as needed Conduct activities under the direction of the Manager of Pharmacy Informatics, Pharmacy Leadership, and/or Consultant Pharmacist
Advanced education preferred Experience Requirements
Equivalent experience with pharmacy automation in other settings will be considered State of Florida Licensure Requirements
CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) with national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required. Data entry experience, automation/computer experience, knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills, analytical skills, physical skills required to maintain mechanical aspects of automation systems (bending, lifting, tool use), basic math skills US:FL:Fort Myers |
