Product Development Manager I

Printpack is seeking qualified candidates to fill the Product Development Manager position. The position will be located in Atlanta, GA, and will report to the Director of Product Development.

Note: Potential consideration for remote work, but hybrid work out of Atlanta, GA is preferred.

Requirements:
  • Four-year degree

  • A minimum of seven years experience in the flexible packaging industry

  • Ability to engage, lead and challenge associates

  • Product Development experience

  • Prior management/leadership experience is preferred

  • Extrusion, adhesive and coatings experience preferred

  • Prior experience communicating and establishing relationships with internal and external customers is preferred

  • Manufacturing experience is a plus

Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating with customers, product development, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and operations planning to ensure rapid, successful commercialization of new converted products.

  • Prioritizing and directing work activity for 4 -6 product development associates at all experience levels.

  • Engage with customers at various levels creating multiple "touch points".

  • Fostering an environment conducive to innovation and information sharing.

  • Creating an atmosphere that allows people to debate and express their true opinions.

  • Developing and implementing tools and processes that increase the probability of delivery robust, commercial products.

  • Keeping abreast of emerging converting technology and materials and disseminating such information appropriately within the technical community.
