DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will offer technical expertise for both Department-sponsored and locally sponsored initiatives. You will assist with projects of moderate to high complexity, ensuring effective support throughout their lifecycle. Maintaining direct communication with utility companies during utility clearance, bidding, awarding, and construction phases is essential to guarantee that necessary utility relocations are executed and project milestones are achieved. Additionally, you will participate in assigned project scoping sessions to provide feedback and insights regarding potential utility impacts and the effort required for utility coordination. Your contributions will also aid Project Managers in conducting Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) evaluations and assessing the necessity for more extensive utility investigations. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Clearfield.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of 44,890 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Engineering Technician performing utility relocation work; or
- One year of technical utility relocation work experience and an associate's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or in a design and drafting technology; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of technical experience performing utility relocation work.
