Qualifications

Engineer ($54,849.60 Min - $82,264.00 Max)

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or a related field.
  • No experience required.

Senior Engineer ($60,340.80 Min - $90,480.00 Max)

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in project management, construction, inspections, planning, design, permitting and/or general engineering.
    • When assigned to DCD Development Services: must include at least two (2) years in project civil engineer and/or water management system design.
    • When assigned to the Traffic Engineering Services Division: Two (2) of the Five (5) years required experience must include project traffic engineering design and analysis.

Principal Engineer ($74,318.40 Min - $111,488.00 Max)

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in project management, construction, inspections, planning, design, permitting and/or general engineering.
    • When assigned to Traffic Engineering Services Division: Five (5) of the ten (10) years required experience must include either project civil engineering, transportation engineering and/or traffic engineering design and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and professional engineering support services relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Prepares special engineering studies, warrants studies and reports.
  • Performs special assignments regarding engineering problems.
  • Plans, Prepares, Designs and Reviews plans for traffic: signals, signing and striping for conformance with City policies and State/Federal requirements.
  • Reviews all permits and required traffic control plans involving work in public streets.
  • Prepares traffic control plans and requirements.
  • Performs other related duties.
