INTERNSHIP: Manufacturing Definition Creator

Role Description & Responsibilities

Our Dassault Systemes Manufacturing Definition Creator team is excited to announce a hybrid internship opportunity available in our Waltham, MA office!

As an intern in the Manufacturing Definition Creator team, you will contribute to SOLIDWORKS R&D by engaging in research and development activities, focusing on Machine Learning applications in CAD and related areas. You will work closely with teams specializing in software development, testing, eLearning, and research. The internship will provide the tools and resources necessary for developing prototype software and research material.

• Understand challenges faced by SOLIDWORKS users in their daily tasks.
• Review prior research and work in Machine Learning applications for CAD.
• Propose innovative ideas and new solutions to CAD-related problems. Estimate the required scope of work, write a proposal, and gain approval.
• Implement your ideas by developing a prototype, testing it on real data, and iterating until objectives are achieved.
• Create a comprehensive project report and present findings to the team.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

* Proficiency in programming using one or more of the following: Python, PyTorch, ONNX, TensorFlow, NumPy, MATLAB, C++, and JavaScript.

Language Skills:

• Fluency in English, both oral and written.

Professional Skills:

• Ability to demonstrate a polished, professional demeanor when interacting with peers, colleagues, and customers.

Work Environment:

• This is an onsite role based in Dassault Systemes' Waltham, MA office. Remote or offsite work is not permitted.

In addition to working with your direct team, as a member of Dassault Systemes NAM Intern Program you will be invited to our Speaker Series, Lunch and Learns, Networking Events and all employee functions.

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $23 - $33 per hour.
