INTERNSHIP: SOLIDWORKS Alliances Program Summer 2025

The Alliances Program Intern will report to SOLIDWORKS Alliances, Technical Manager.

At the heart of the Alliances Program are its information systems, which support prospective partners' access to program resources and benefits as they progress in their partnership with SOLIDWORKS. Administering quality measures across these systems is essential to the overall operation, as is executing program administrative transactions to secure and maintain successful partner relations. As an Alliances Program Intern, you will gain valuable insights into how our partners develop complementary products using the SOLIDWORKS API, enhancing the productivity of designers and engineers relying on SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD. You'll explore various applications and technologies integrated with SOLIDWORKS, extending its capabilities in specialized domains.

Your role will directly impact the SOLIDWORKS Alliances Ecosystem, influencing our technical and sales strategies while offering exposure to cutting-edge technologies and industry trends.

Please note that this position is 100% in person at the Waltham, MA office. We prefer to hire someone local to the area.

The ideal candidate will assist the team with:

1. ISV Study and Ecosystem Analysis

- Conduct a detailed analysis of over 300 ISV partners within the SOLIDWORKS Alliances Ecosystem.- Audit their Partner Products (Add-Ins) to understand their technology, categorize them by domain, integration type, and complementary levels, and document findings.

2. Database Management and Updates

- Ensure the Registered Partner Products Database remains accurate and up-to-date.- Collaborate with ISV partners' CAD Administrators to validate registered add-ins and verify product details as needed.

3. Partner Product Registration and Updates

- Assist ISV partners in registering new add-ins or updating existing records with accurate product, company, and contact information.- Maintain the integrity of the SOLIDWORKS Solution Partner Program records.

4. License Usage and Activation Analysis

- Contribute to a project aimed at verifying license usage and activation data.- Identify Solution Partners with exceeded activation counts using SOLIDWORKS Activation Server data.- Communicate with Partner Program members to clarify license details and needs, identify dormant licenses, and create an assessment report including recommendations for asset reorganization.- Collaborate with the SOLIDWORKS Partner Team and Order Management to ensure efficient license management.

5. Adapting 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and Collaboration Tools

- You embrace the internal 3DEXPERIENCE platform, apps, dashboards, and associated best practices as the basis for your work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Engineering, CAD, or a related field; Master's degree candidate a plus
  • Prove proficiency in SolidWorks skills with a CSWP Certificate. CSWE preferred.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS Desktop CAD, preferably 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE Platform roles.
  • Programming skills preferred
  • Familiar with the concept of the SW API; command of the Add-In concept and mechanics, Add-In user
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills in the internal 3DEXPERIENCE Platform with the Collaboration Apps and Dashboards
  • Familiar with the concept of domains - Design, Manufacturing, Simulation, Data Management
  • Ability to learn new too sets quickly and take on new challenges

  • Ability and willingness to self-teach new and advanced software functions; coaching and instruction will be provided, but you are someone who seeks knowledge
  • Possess new technology curiosity and history of self-technical education; you are not nervous about what you don't know in technology but excited about it due to your curiosity
  • Positive, self-motivated individual with a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and incorporate coaching and instructions into daily tasks and assignments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team structure
  • Highly organized with critical attention to detail, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive and deadline-driven assignments


In addition to working with your direct team, as a member of Dassault Systemes NAM Intern Program you will be invited to our Speaker Series, Lunch and Learns, Networking Events and employee functions.

This is a 3-month paid internship is based at the DASSAULT SYSTEMES Waltham, MA office, starting in May/June 2025. You will be expected to follow a hybrid work model, which is a minimum of 3 days in the office

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $21 - $29 per hour.
