Overview

As a product leader, we invite you to join Esri in shaping the future of products and technologies that connect customers with world-class GIS apps. This position will help lead product management for ArcGIS Experience Builder, a web-based application that enables users to transform data into interactive web apps and web pages, with no code or low code. You will improve and reinvent the way our customers use geographic data and elevate them to use GIS across their organizations and to the world.

The successful candidate will have proven experience using builder technology, driving a product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and interacting user communities. Your emphasis will be on customer interaction, serving as the product expert, building team relationships and influencing the product's priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and communicate the product vision, definition, strategy, tactics, and priorities
  • Engage, monitor, synthesize, and document customer requirements from various feedback channels; share this with the development team to collaborate and prioritize product features and enhancements
  • Align with and proactively work with existing Product Management processes and systems
  • Provide product expertise with key customers to assist with mission critical projects
  • Support ongoing improvement and evolution of sales enablement strategies, keeping Global Business Development apprised of product value propositions and positioning information
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing teams generating a variety of marketing materials, such as social media content, public and internal communications about product updates and events, blogs, product web pages, and more
  • Evangelize the product at webinars and conferences
  • Collaborate with Events and Marketing teams and other stakeholders to create content and messaging for major Esri events

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical or product-related role, such as engineering, product management, development, support, or similar
  • Communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and through presentations, to a diverse range of stakeholders from your team to customers to executive leadership in person and remote
  • Accurately understand and document user feedback about business needs, feature capabilities, workflows, and values and represent them to software engineers in the form of actionable requirements and specific "problems to solve"
  • Maintain the agility to balance passion for continuous improvement and user advocacy with the diligence and patience required to support extended or shifting implementation timelines
  • Comfortable navigating highly ambiguous situations and relying on professional judgment without direct oversight
  • Self-motivated, creative, and team-oriented
  • Technical expertise, ideally with GIS, web services, and web development
  • Active listening skills and curiosity about other people's work, experience, and perspective
  • Ability to travel 10%-20% of the time to customer sites, conferences, trade shows, and other strategic meetings and events
  • Bachelor's or higher in a field related to technology, GIS, or business

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience with ArcGIS software, Web GIS, or similar geospatial technology
  • Experience with frond-end web development
  • Master's or higher in technology, GIS, or business
