The Wi-Fi CoE in Nokia Technologies develops innovative concepts for Wi-Fi 8 and beyond. These innovations aim to significantly improve key performance indicators of Wi-Fi and make a difference to users of Wi-Fi technology. The team is enthusiastic about Wi-Fi technology. We adopt latest ideas from university research, AI/ML and other radio technologies such as 6G and evaluate them in typical Wi-Fi networks.

As a Principal Standardization Delegate, you will be part of the Nokia's IEEE 802.11 and Wi-Fi Alliance delegation to strengthen our Wi-Fi Center of Excellence.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Develop innovative concepts that significantly improve the performance of Wi-Fi technology
  • Take ownership of topics in IEEE 802.11 and/or Wi-Fi Alliance
  • Promote Nokia's concepts and interest in both IEEE 802.11 and Wi-Fi Alliance
  • Collaborate with other companies in IEEE 802.11 and Wi-Fi Alliance
  • Collaborate with Nokia's Wi-Fi product teams


You have:

  • PhD in EE, CS, Physics, or similar with at least 8 years of experience as a Wi-Fi standardization delegate or an MS degree with at least 10 years' of experience as Wi-Fi standardization delegate
  • Enthusiastic about Wi-Fi technology
  • You are a recognized industry expert and have expert knowledge of Wi-Fi up to 802.11bn
  • You have contributed to multiple amendments to IEEE 802.11 or Wi-Fi Alliance specifications
  • You have a deep personal network with other lead delegates in 802.11 and Wi-Fi Alliance
  • Excellent communications skills and track record of working with product lines
