The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is seeking to recruit an Enrollment Services Specialists for our Clarkston Perimeter College campus.

The Enrollment Services Specialist serves as the first point contact for walk-ins to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This position delivers exemplary customer service to prospective students, admitted students, current students, parents, visitors, and constituents in person, over the phone and via email. This position requires strong troubleshooting and the ability to exercise independent judgment in making decisions and interpreting Office, University, and Board of Regents policies relevant to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Examples of Duties Include:



  • Counsel prospective students and applicants on the admissions requirements and procedures for Perimeter College and Georgia State University
  • Be the liaison to other departments on campus to assist and provide outstanding customer service
  • Advise, investigate, problem solve and resolve questions and issues from prospective and admitted students, parents and the public about policies and procedures for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions using Banner and Slate
  • Update and process records in Banner and Slate
  • Provide prospective and current students, as well as parents with general information on Admissions, Financial Aid, Enrollment Services, and Housing and be able to redirect individuals to the correct offices for assistance as needed
  • Assist the processing team during peak periods by entering reactivations, lawful presence hold removals, adding supplemental credits from transcripts, and other forms as needed.
  • Assist students during the open house, new orientation programs, Move on When Ready and Success Academy programs
  • Assist with student recruitment and yield events at the Perimeter College or Atlanta campus as required.
  • Assist with campus coverage at other locations when required
  • Assist with delivering campus tours and presentations when required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

A successful candidate should possess the following:



  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge of, familiarity with and experience in the admissions field and interpreting policies and procedures to prospective students and the University community
  • Ability to effectively work with diverse constituencies in a large, fast-paced professional work environment
  • Knowledge of Banner and Slate
