Summary:
The Sustainability Analyst will support the Americas Industrial Region in developing strategies to validate, consolidate, automate, analyze and report sustainability data in accordance with Group and regulatory requirements. The Sustainability Analyst will coordinate across the different functions in the full value chain of the region: Sales, Customer Service, Supplier, Factory, Demand Chain / Purchasing, Solutions Factory, within and outside the BA. The goal of this position is to drive process improvements and efficiencies in reporting and data analytics so the BA can gain actionable insight of sustainability data and KPI's. The work environment is fast paced, and you must be capable of managing projects within the full value chain and have a passion for quality, compliance, and sustainability.
Other responsibilities will be to support organizations such as EHS, Purchasing, Logistics, Operations & Sales to develop KPI's and process to collect and represent their sustainability impact on BA and Group targets
Responsibilities:
- Drive the Group and BA sustainability reporting strategies
- Implement the standardization of Group defined KPI's, calculations, initiatives, and long-term strategies.
- Monitor and improve the sustainability performance of various sustainability parameters.
- Build a robust and reliable sustainability data system for efficient reporting of sustainability KPI's to BA Management, Group Management, & Customers.
- Report as per mandatory / non-mandatory requirements of sustainability reporting to Group Sustainability, BA Management, External Organizations and Customers.
- Analyze data and provide insight into KPI status & improvements that can be made to assure the BA meets Group targets
- Develop automated communication and reporting pathways such as PowerBI Dashboards, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Support other organizations in developing projections/impacts in their decarbonization roadmaps and support developing reporting pathways for their sustainability data.
Requirements:
- Degree in Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or a similar field.
- Ability to review large sets of data and identify trends, gaps, and other takeaways.
- High proficiency in Microsoft applications, data management & visualization.
- PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Excel
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of coding language and techniques such as Python or R is a plus.
- Project management skills with the ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional project team activities effectively and efficiently.
- Self-motivation, strong drive, and action-oriented with high sense of personal accountability.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Objectives:
- Support the integration of data between various platforms (Snowflake, Excel, SharePoint, PowerBI)
- Collect, extract, clean, and analyze data to interpret results and validate dashboard insights for generating company sustainability performance data and metrics.
- Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the retrieval and reporting of sustainability data through digitalization and automation. (For both internal and external stakeholders)
- Maintain and report standardized KPI's developed by Group or regional sustainability teams.
- Utilize sustainability data for SKF products and services to develop value propositions that grow the business.
KPIs:
- Scope 1 & 2 emissions baseline and projected reductions
- Scope 3 emissions baseline and projected reductions
- Energy baselines and projected reductions at site and BA level
- Environmental metrics baseline & projections (material consumption, water consumption, waste production, CO2e emissions calculations)
- Customer trends in sustainability requests/requirements
