Requirements

    Minimum three (3) years of experience in relevant technical field
    • Installation experience:
    • EIA/TIA
    • TEMPEST
    • Mil standards
    • As Builts
    • Installation Design Plans (IDPs)
    • Installation Requirement Documents (IRDs)
    • Running fiber, Ethernet or shipboard cable
    • Termination experience of Ethernet cable, fiber or shipboard connectors
    • Familiar with installation standards
    • Familiar with reading installation diagrams
    • Familiar with the NIWC Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH)
    • Ability and willingness to travel (30-40% of CY)
    • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • General experience:
  • Ability and willingness to work in a fast paced team environment


Desired Skills

  • Preferred Certifications (Not Required)
    • BICSI certs
    • Fiber termination cert
  • Systems Knowledge (Not Required)
    • AutoCAD
    • CMPRO or equivalent asset management software / database


Description

  • Providing support in the buildout, testing, installation, cutover, and troubleshooting of CND equipment, SHARKCAGE equipment, and Platform Boundary Defense (PBD) equipment
  • Conducting these efforts in both our Charleston, SC location as well as at deployed environments throughout multiple Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Areas of Responsibility (AOR)s
  • Willing and able to execute on mission critical operations in support of NIWC - Atlantic, and the Navy's CND program

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET ELIGIBILITY



Travel Requirements

  • 30-40% travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations throughout the world
