Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Building and Ground Supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for routine preventive maintenance of campus turf. This position will complete minor repair of grounds equipment and completion of landscape construction projects. They will also be responsible for fertilization and pest management of campus turf along with the record keeping for these practices.


Responsibilities:
Inspects, maintains, and repairs basic equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards and to prevent further damage. Assists with construction, and operational maintenance as needed.

  • 20% Utilizes equipment to repair and maintain standard machinery, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation
  • 15% Performs routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness
  • 15% Troubleshoots, escalates, and documents issues according to established policies and procedures
  • 15% Receives, inspects, inventories, and distributes deliveries to appropriate entities under general supervision
  • 15% Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed
  • 5% Responsible for fertilization and pest management of campus turf along with the record keeping for these practices.
  • 5% Performs all necessary snow removal duties throughout the winter.
  • 10% Assists with lawn construction and landscaping projects including soil grading, seeding, and sodding.

Education:

Preferred
H.S. Diploma


Qualifications:

Required:
- 3 years of experience in grounds maintenance

Preferred:
- Snow removal experience
- Experience with landscape equipment maintenance
- Experience with position working predominately outdoors


License/Certification:

Required
CDL - Commercial Drivers License
Class B CDL Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement

Required
Pesticide Applicator - State Licensure
Commercial Pesticide Applicator License 3.0 Turf and Landscape


Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 7AM - 3:30PM

Full Time: 100%

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Salary:

Minimum $22.00 HOURLY
Depending on Qualifications
The minimum hourly rate for this position is $22/hr, but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
