Fire Safety Officer

• Serves as a liaison with all levels of the organization and outside agencies regarding fire safety.
• Develops, implements and manages the fire prevention program.
• Conducts fire drills.
• Assists Fire Safety Engineer (FSE) in reviewing plans for construction/renovation projects to ensure fire safety; citing regulatory issues and offering recommendations regarding life safety issues before, during and after construction.
• Participates in environment of care continuous readiness rounding.
• Conducts Interim Life Safety Assessments.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
