Job Description

This role reports to Sr Director of Quality & Mfg. Excellence and drives the delivery of the Amcor Business Plan by providing overall leadership for the Amcor Quality function. The Director Quality demonstrates a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, quality tools and methods. The Director Quality collaborates with manufacturing sites, and other stakeholders to ensure that Amcor's products meet its customers' requirements. Develops and executes the company's quality strategy in alignment with operating plan goals.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Acts as a safety leader. Demonstrates safety leadership by complying with all safety rules, policies, regulations and procedures; participating in safety programs, and encouraging employee involvement from all employees in all safety activities. Supports all written safety programs and safety training.
  • Human Capital Management of Quality team
  • Develop and implement plans and goals for the Amcor quality function, including metrics & KPI's for the Business Group
  • Oversight to all quality functions for the Business Group
  • Talent development for the Amcor Quality function
  • Oversight to Customer Communications, including major customer initiatives, corrective actions and audits
  • Oversight to Non-Conformance
  • Oversight to Quality Systems
  • Strategic and tactical plans for the Amcor Quality function to support the Amcor short and long-term business plans
  • Human Capital Plans for Quality Team
  • Progress against goals/plans to drive forward the Amcor quality function.
  • Leads Business Group Quality Steering committee
  • Responsible for partnering with the BU Operations Directors, MPI Director, and Corporate CI to improve quality and implement operational excellence focusing on effectiveness and performance as well as compliance.

WHAT WE VALUE

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality or related field, Master's degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with leading a team - effective Human Capital Management with a minimum 3-5 years of experience leading a team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Amcor Quality Systems, Non-Conformance function and document control
  • Demonstrates Amcor Core Values
  • 15+ years' experience in quality or a closely related function in a manufacturing environment preferably Healthcare, Flexible Packaging or Pharmaceutical industry
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
  • Strong regulatory compliance understanding of IS0 9001, 13485, Food Safety, FDA, etc. required regulations in the Healthcare or Food Business Unit
