As Senior Director of Digital Sales Enablement,you'll be responsible for leading key aspects of our digitally enabled commercial capability strategy. This includes driving our digital commerce strategy, managing virtual customer engagement, developing virtual inside sales strategies, and creating digital sales training platforms and activities.

In this leadership role, you'll shape Boston Scientific's digital selling agenda by developing a top-tier strategy that garners consistent input and alignment from all stakeholders. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams such as Global Digital Enablement, US Field Organization, Global Customer Care, Digital Marketing, and US Sales Operations and Training to ensure seamless harmonization of enterprise capabilities and drive widespread adoption.

Your responsibilities will include:

Program Management:



  • Work closely with all BSC divisions, and partner with our divisional commercial teams and Global Digital Enablement Team (GDET). This includes developing the digital enablement commercial strategy and execution roadmap for digital commerce, virtual customer engagement, virtual/inside sales strategies, digital sales training, and digital learning platforms.
  • Facilitate strategic alignment within Boston Scientific (BSC) by partnering across divisions, functions, commercial organizations, and field sales. This includes partnering closely with other key enablement programs such as revenue management, salesforce.com, customer care, etc.
  • Lead efforts to address challenges and create solutions by identifying tactical and strategic opportunities and cultivate a network of change champions across the organization who can be activated on different initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress towards key objectives.
  • Optimize existing processes through appropriate use of technology and implement new processes and tools for the selling organization.



Talent Management:



  • Lead the Digitally Enabled Commercial Capabilities function and support a team of talented direct reports engaged in developing and executing on strategy.
  • Hire, retain, develop, and inspire team members to achieve their full potential, while expanding the team's capabilities in new digital areas to enhance go-to-market performance. This includes Closed Loop Sales & Marketing, eOrdering, insights-based selling, and other relevant areas.
  • Develop and communicate a clear vision and culture that fosters high performance, innovation, a winning spirit, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Lead by example in upholding and demonstrating BSC's core values.



Influence Management:



  • Work across reporting lines to drive alignment, which is key to the success of our digital commercial capabilities.
  • Artfully challenge ideas to drive the organization forward, while collaborating with multiple stakeholders inside and outside of the sales organization.
  • Demonstrate strong change management skills and techniques to help drive adoption of new strategies and initiatives.
  • Build trustworthy relationships with key stakeholders, including the field sales management team and external partners.
  • Develop strong relationships with the field sales management team and leverage your experience to build capability and credibility within the Commercial Enablement team.



Data Analytics:



  • Provide leadership on commercial strategy and key focus areas for growth.
  • Use market data to benchmark core competencies and recommend opportunities for advancement.
  • Create and execute strategy based on data-driven insights.
  • Recommend new data sources or approaches to drive growth.



What we're looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 15 years of experience with Sales and Marketing in strategy, operations, analytics, pricing, or training functions and includes:

    • Managing comprehensive and large-scale strategic programs in a complex matrix organization
    • Recognizing and implementing disruptive technologies and solutions to stay ahead of industry trends and maintain a competitive edge
    • Driving continuous improvement initiatives in rapidly changing and high growth environments
    • Contributing to performance and revenue growth by collaborating with cross-functional teams
    • Analyzing complex data sets and translating them into actionable insights that inform commercial strategy and drive business growth
    • Project management and effective prioritization
    • Communicating and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization


  • Experience in a leadership role, coaching cross-functional or cross-divisional teams.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced degree (MBA)
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to make a significant contribution to performance and revenue growth
  • Experience in the medical device industry
  • Strong initiative and a demonstrated pro-active mentality
  • Previous or current Boston Scientific experience
  • Experience at the associate director level or higher

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be $ to $ , plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
