DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will greet, screen, and vet employees, military members, visitors, contractors, and consultants to determine their eligibility to access Fort Indiantown Gap (FIG) at the access control point (ACP) Visitor's Center or at the main lobby of Edward Martin Hall. This will occur by accessing state and federal databases such as the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), the Automated Installation Entry (AIE) system, the Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN), and the Pennsylvania Justice Network (JNET) to determine eligibility to access the installation. Attention to detail, good communication skills, and maintaining confidentiality are key in this position. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Irregular work hours are 7:00am to 3:00pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- You must obtain active National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation within the probationary period and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this job.
- You must obtain active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) and Pennsylvania Justice Network (JNET) certifications issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this job.
- You must obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) as issued by the Federal Department of Defense within the probationary period and maintain access for the duration of employment in this job.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
