If Pediatrics/Pediatric ICU is your long-term goal - let us prepare you for a successful career in that specialty! You are welcomed and encouraged to apply prior to your graduation.

We are looking for new grads to accelerate their progression to a high-acuity department through our innovative orientation program. These positions will have orientation in specific departments that will assist in preparation for your career in the Peds/PICU. Your professional development nurses will support you along the way and help you grow your professional practice to ensure you have a successful career in your chosen specialty. When working on our 12-bed Pediatric floor and 4-bed PICU, you will provide patient and family-centered care for a variety of high-acuity patients including traumas, diabetic emergencies, trachs and more. The Peds/PICU's multidisciplinary team consists of highly skilled RNs, Intensivists, Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and other support staff. Position Details:
  • Full-time, 72 hours biweekly (0.9 FTE)
  • 12-hour Day/Night rotation, every third weekend/holiday
  • There may be varied schedules depending on the orientation unit
  • Prior patient care experience required, pediatric experience preferred
  • Enjoy an attractive hourly rate of $37.08/hr as well as generous shift/weekend/holiday differentials
What You'll Need:
  • Minimum of an Associate degree in Nursing
  • RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
  • PALS within 6 months of transfer to the Peds/PICU
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
