Shipping & Receiving Overview:

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the shipping of aircraft parts and related materials in support of Sun Country Maintenance activities. These responsibilities include all shipping, receiving, security, and proper disposal of all aircraft parts and related materials. This position works directly with Repair, Material and AOG Coordinators to support daily shipping and receiving requirements. The position involves overseeing the shipment and tracking of materials; ensuring that materials are shipped on time, packaged properly and at the most cost-effective rate to meet the delivery schedule. This position will be responsible for tracking incoming and outbound shipments and resolving issues that may arise during the shipping / receiving process.

Essential roles and responsibilities of a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator:

  • Track, ship, and expedite material to support critical aircraft requirements. Obtain multiple quotes for fiscal responsibility.
  • Code all shipments accurately to track business unit expenses and review shipping invoices to validate final invoicing is accurate.
  • Monitor loans, borrows, and exchanges to ensure they are shipped out expeditiously, while ensuring the paperwork for the cores meets contract return requirements.
  • Perform initial receiving of incoming materials.
  • Communicate order receiving discrepancies to the appropriate Buyer/Repair Coordinator for proper resolution.
  • Prioritize action of discrepancies required to support AOG or critical part requirements.
  • Determine best shipment method and track materials being shipped to outstations, COMAT, consignment inventory, and off-site storage facilities.
  • Ensure parts are handled and stored properly to prevent damage and contamination.
  • Perform shipping of all outgoing materials and ensuring compliance of paperwork retention, such as electronically filing shipping documents for all outgoing hazardous shipments.
  • Maintain electronic files with current revision of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of receiving documentation, ensuring traceability for all transactions.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels, following all regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor, maintain, and update electronic shipping tracking and dashboard.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Address any customer inquiries or complaints related to shipping and logistics.
  • Use the best practices to fiscally coordinate and safely pack materials for shipments

The qualifications we are looking for in the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator:



  • High School diploma
  • Valid driver's license is required
  • Must be able to obtain MSP SIDA Badge
  • Ability to be proficient in various computer programs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Very good oral and written communication and problem-solving skills


Preferred Skills:



  • Two years of previous experience with shipping, receiving or warehouse operations
  • Experience using TRAX software or other maintenance software
  • Hazmat Shipping experience
  • Experience with FedEx Ship Manager, and or other shipping platforms
  • High level of attention to detail


Work Environment:

This job works in a hangar and stockroom, which are subject to dust and noise due to their proximity of airport runways and hangar operations. This position also must work in inclement weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift frequently and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and team lift up to 120 pounds.
