What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking highly motivated graduate level students for a summer internship as part of the Consortium for the Development and Screening of Nanostructured Zirconate Analogues for Immobilization of Nuclear Fuel Waste (ZAIN) program. This initiative is sponsored by the NNSA minority serving institutions partnership program (MSIPP) for Sustainable STEM Workforce. This MSIPP program is a partnership with three specific universities. Student will get the opportunity to develop skills and gain experience one or several of the following areas: chemical synthesis, materials characterization and test, systems engineering, and nuclear engineering and forensics. As an intern at Sandia, you will be guided by a technical mentor and work closely with a team of researchers and Sandians on issues of national significance. Our pay structure is based on earned credit hours, classification, and degree level. Your pay rate will be determined during the hire process and included in your offer package.
