The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located on Keysight's campus in Colorado Springs, CO exists to provide mechanical solutions that enable the capabilities of Keysight's industry leading electronic measurement equipment. Supporting this mission requires parts machined to some of the tightest tolerances in the industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our machine shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of machine shop personnel, including machinists, operators, and deburr staff.
  • Ensure production schedules are met by working with the planning team to assign work, monitor progress, and resolve issues.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing safety regulations and conducting regular inspections.
  • Oversee the training and mentor employees on proper machining techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve product quality.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports, records, and documentation.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, equipment, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using machining software and computer-aided design (CAD) programs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Colorado pay range: MIN $69,630.00, MIDPOINT $92,840.00 - MAX $116,050.00
