EMT I - PRESNow-ABQ - 24/7 ED/UC Menaul
Overview The Menaul location of PRESNow is seeking an EMT-I. Performs advanced patient care procedures (such as, initiation of intravenous therapy, splinting, casting, suturing, and simple patient teaching) under the direction of a licensed Nurse or Physician and/or performs advanced support-procedures for the operation of a Nursing or Clinical unit. Coordinates equipment and/or supply systems. Responsible for the delivery of quality care to patients under varied conditions. Type of Opportunity: Full Time Qualifications High School Diploma required and the completion of the formal Emergency Medical Technicians-Intermediate (EMT-I) course is required. Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required. 1-2 years experience preferred, but not required. Formal medical technician or military training preferred, but not required. Education: * Current BLS is required. Responsibilities Monitors patients and collects information for accurate documentation in the patient record. Stamps and assembles patient charts. Transports patients and documents action on patient record. Monitors patients and collects information for documentation in patient record. Collects and records vital signs in patient record.
