Working with members to walk through, answer questions, and collect via their insurance plan. Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of the basic plan provisions and multiple benefit schedules, as well as a clear understanding of the eligibility system, claim system, and the Reciprocity system (ERTS). Respond timely and accurately to phone calls, e-mail, walk in participants, and correspondence by answering questions; explaining claim payments and claim denials; quote self-payment amounts; verify eligibility and/or benefits; research eligibility or claim issues; update eligibility with outside vendors. Questions from an Insurance Perspective - Explain the difference between PPO and non-PPO - What are ICD-10 codes called? - Example question: A company has 140 eligibility requirements for insurance but the person only has 84 hours the rate is $8.10 calculate how much the person would need to pay for insurance How would you explain a deductible to a patient? - What is the patients liability on a claims form which would be co insurance, deductible and co pay? - What is COB mean? EOB? Example Question: What option below protects a patient: Cobra-ACA-HIPPA *Skills* Customer service, insurance, Call center, insurance claim, claims processing, Customer support, Customer service oriented, Administration, Customer service skills *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * 1+ years of call center experience in a medical billing or medical insurance call center environment or 1+ years of processing medical claims * Bilingual speaking candidates strongly preferred * Must type 40 wpm * Dependability - ensures timely arrival and consistent attendance to support the achievement of the team's goals. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
