Job Description |
HCC is seeking qualified middle/high school instructors for our Summer Youth Camps. Camp season begins on June 23, 2025, and continues through August 15, 2025.
(Camps will not be held on Friday, July 4th)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning and implementing camp curriculum; coordinating daily operations and safety procedures of camp; maintaining supply inventory; communicating effectively with campers, camp staff, and parents/guardians; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Available Camp Weeks:
Weeks 3 - 7: Art and Drawing Camps
Week 3:
WHFC Radio Learning Lab
Week 4: Rock Band - (Music)
Week 4: Sewing
Week 4: Block Printmaking
Week 5: Summer Beat Makers
Week 5: Cold Cases
Week 6: Journalism
Week 6: Build Your Own PC
Weeks 6 & 7: Mock Trial - (Civics)
Week 8: Programming
Instructors are required to attend employee training, to be scheduled the week of June 9, 2025. Instructors are not required to be available for all camp weeks.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this position. |
Required Education |
Bachelor's degree or certification in the appropriate field. |
Required Experience |
One year of teaching, childcare, camp, or coaching experience. |
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities |
Ability to successfully pass an
FBI, MD, and
CJIS background screening. |
Preferred Qualifications |
One year of summer camp experience. |
General Weekly Work Schedule |
Half-day camp operating hours are 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Full-day camp operating hours are 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, one-hour duty free lunch break. |
