Position Function |
Reporting to the Assistant Dean and Director of Student Success, the Assistant Director of Student Success is responsible for developing and implementing programs, partnerships, and resources to support students' academic success and career readiness for our nearly 70 distinct majors in the College of Sciences and Humanities (
CSH) with the goal of increasing student retention and success for our more than 4,000 undergraduate majors. The Assistant Director is responsible for the daily operations of the growing
CSH Success Hub that sees more than 2,500 student visits each semester. |
Minimum Education |
Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, sociology, or related field by date of hire. |
Minimum Experience |
At least 3 years of experience working in education, nonprofit, or related field.. Experience planning small and large-scale events for a diverse population of stakeholders, such as students, faculty, families, alumni, and/or donors.

Minimum Other |
Display independent, professional judgment and organizational skills to plan, prioritize, and manage a diverse workload with sensitivity and confidentiality while maintaining accuracy with the many details.
Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data as well as creatively solve problems.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team and assume responsibility for problem-solving.
Strong communication, administrative, and presentation skills.
Resounding commitment to excellence and genuine care for student success.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other common software packages.

Preferred Education |
Master's degree in a related field with at least 2 years of related work experience in higher education or related field.

Knowledge of and experience with student success, admissions, advising, student developmental theory.
Supervisory experience in higher education, especially in student-facing roles.
