Who You'll Work With
You'll be based out of a NA hub location and will be part of our McKinsey's global Transformation practice. You will also be a member of our global Client Capabilities Network. You will work with McKinsey teams comprised of transformation experts, sector/functional specialists, and generalist consultants. You will also work with a variety of individuals at our clients, ranging from the C-Suite to front-line workers.
McKinsey's Transformation practice helps clients change their trajectory and achieve their full potential through holistic interventions in performance, capabilities, and organizational health. Our suite of transformation approaches is underpinned by distinctive tools and technologies and led by transformation specialists who partner with client teams to enable real, sustained change. We hire experienced professionals from industry, private equity, and the restructuring and professional services ecosystem to work side-by-side with our firm's network of industry and functional experts in large-scale transformation programs around the world.
Your impact within our firm
You will apply your data skills sets and business concepts to transform clients solving real life complex problems and deliver long term sustainable impact.
In this role, you'll work through the transformation methodology to help drive enterprise-wide change with our clients, gaining a 360-degree experience of how we drive change inside organizations.
You will work with clients to set-up and execute a best-in-class transformation office and the related performance infrastructure. You will deploy McKinsey's transformation management tool (Wave) and various assets/solutions critical to a transformation spanning across organization health, working capital, client capability building, etc. You will enable cadence planning, impact capturing, program management and financial models drawing upon analytical tools e.g. Excel, VBA.
Working together with team members from the client and McKinsey colleagues, you will ensure seamless delivery, provide guidance and leadership to teams. You will also coach clients, pull in the latest firm developments in technology and client service to advance the current practice and challenge consultant/client mindsets about what is possible and how things are done.
Your qualifications and skills
  • University degree in computer applications, engineering, business management, statistics, actuarial science (with strong quantitative background)
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong modeling skills using Excel, Visual Basic for Application (VBA)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Strong knowledge of fundamental business concepts; operations research and statistical techniques is a plus
  • Able to work with and coach effectively a diverse group of team members
  • Flexibility, patience and an understanding of fluid, demanding and unstructured environments where priorities evolve constantly
  • Entrepreneurial and proactively thinking about potential improvements to how things are done
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
  • Detail oriented and with ability to work under pressure; mentally resilient to endure the long and tough road of a transformation

is $92,000 - $95,000 USD -to help you understand what you can expect. This reflects our best estimate of the lowest to highest
[salary/hourly wages] for this role at the time of this posting, ensuring you have a clear picture right from the start, though it's important
to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current
organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion
and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
