Location: Jacksonville, FL - Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days WFH)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:30PM
Salary: $18.28- $22.86 per hour based on experience

What work will you perform?

Provide support, training, and assistance to agents with the primary focus on increasing their heavy specialized customer base and revenue growth by increasing the agent's interest in marketing heavy specialized opportunities and customers. Provide agents with assistance on projects, capacity and Landstar pricing tool. Work with all aspects of Heavy Specialized, understand the business, and explore all opportunities for success. Ensure that agents and capacity understand all state DOT rules and regulations of over-dimensional freight with safety as our number one priority.

Essential Responsibilities:




  • Grow Heavy Specialized revenue by working with each agent to identify needs and opportunities in their customer base and help sell Landstar's Heavy Specialized capacity.
  • Develop high level of proficiency with Landstar Heavy Haul tools to support agent training opportunities.
  • Establish open lines of communication with region management to explore growth opportunities and provide information.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to monitor Heavy Specialized agent revenue and customer information to be shared with region management.
  • Communicate with every agent in your region daily, weekly, monthly as required by their needs, follow up on missed freight opportunities, and determine process improvements.
  • Instruct Agents and Capacity on Federal Regulations, state DOT requirements and Landstar Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide customer service with support on service issues as needed.
  • Develop working relationship and adhere to interaction protocol with the dedicated Heavy Haul Corporate Account Executive
  • Flexibility to travel periodically for work activities/events with ability and access to pay for some travel expenses, submitting reimbursements based on Landstar travel policies



Required Minimum Experience and Education:




  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of customer service in an office environment



Preferred Experience and Education:




  • 1 year transportation experience, preferably with Heavy Specialized equipment, rules, and regulation



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:




  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of U.S. geography
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem resolution skills.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
