Texas Oncology - The Woodlands part of the Gulf Coast Region is seeking a full-time Therapeutic Medical Physicist (MS or Ph.D) to join our team. Responsibilities What does the Medical Physicist do? The Medical Physicist is responsible for the design optimization, technical evaluation, and precise and accurate delivery of radiation treatment plans. Responsible for the safety of patients and staff. May participate in clinical, research and educational duties. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Facilities and Equipment: The Texas Oncology - The Gulf Coast has 7 cancer centers that provide a full range of external beam radiation and HDR therapy procedures. We currently have 7 linacs (TrueBeam and C-Series), 4 Elekta HDR's, ARIA ROIS, Eclipse, MIM and RadCalc used to treat 200 patients per day. The successful candidate will join our team of 7 board certified physicists, 6 board certified radiation oncologists, 7 board certified dosimetrists and 2 Physics Resident program in the Gulf Coast Region. All sites share a single database for ROIS, treatment planning, 2nd check program, and SNC SunCHECK. QA tools include, but are not limited to IC Profiler, MapCheck2, SNC Routine, and 3D scanning system. In addition to the top-notch work environment, you will be based in and enjoy the Houston area.
