Agile Business Analyst

Vaco is on the hunt a strong Agile Business Analyst to join our client as they continue building out Agile/Scrum processes throughout the organization. We are looking for those that have been involved in similar transformations and understand the dedication towards building this out. If you understand how to write and build strong business requirements and collaborate across multiple project teams, we'd love to hear from you. This is an immediate hybrid, contract to hire role in Charlotte with a secondary location of Scottsdale. We are conducting interviews immediately for qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather, define, analyze, and validate application requirements and business rules, scope, functional, non-functional requirements, source to target mappings and user acceptance criteria to ensure identified stakeholder business value has been delivered.
  • Comprehend, analyze, and convey business requirements to align with store systems Product owners and development teams.
  • Identify Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics for each initiative with business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to offer recommendations and suggestions for optimizing store systems, applications, and business processes.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking key milestones, phases, and elements within a given sprint and recommend iteration deliveries.
  • Analyze and understand the upstream and downstream implications of proposed changes to accurately assess impacts on surrounding systems.
  • Work within Agile frameworks: Scrum, Kanban.
  • Work with the Product Owner to formulate and prioritize user stories for a given initiative and participate in all related ceremonies.
  • Actively participate in defining test strategies and scenarios using Test Driven Development (TDD) to support streamlined test execution with the QA team and business stakeholders.
  • Stay aligned with business stakeholders on roadmap initiatives and delivery priority.
  • Maintain prioritized requirements backlog in Jira.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst (BA) with a focus on data-centric projects, with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and Agile scaling frameworks (SAFe)
  • Prior experience with POS, Payment, and retail store systems.
  • Knowledge of payment solutions and their integrations.
  • Proficient in defining capabilities, developing features, and writing detailed user stories using Jira.
  • Demonstrated experience documenting functional and technical requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative without close supervision or guidance.
  • Demonstrated creative and innovative 'out of the box' thinking.
  • Proven ability to establish relationships and build strong credibility with business teams, executive stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Forward-thinking and resourceful to ensure all initiatives are delivered in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex business requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Thrives in a challenging and continuously evolving IT environment.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a BA
  • Experience in a retail organization.
  • Familiar with retail data modeling
  • Experienced with Jira and Confluence
  • Miro Visualization

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
