Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a machine operator, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Woodward is hiring for a machine setup/operator to support production at our Loves Park Campus on 2nd shift. This role will be responsible for machining and manufacturing processes on aerospace parts and components. Individuals with machine operations experience and an eagerness to learn more complex setup process are encouraged to apply! What You Will Be Doing * Setting up and operating CNC Okuma Lathe, performing tool offsets and changes. * Using company specific databases and systems to locate work instructions. * Performing manufacturing processes on various steel bar stock * Reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T to verifying products are in spec to customer and company requirements. * Documenting processes and using inspection equipment (calipers, mics, gauges, CMM inspection equipment.
What We Are Looking For * High school diploma or equivalent is required. * Previous CNC or grinding experience is highly desired * Knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints is strongly preferred * Willing to learn new and challenging processes and techniques * Able to communicate effectively both written and oral to all levels of personnel * Good time management and organizational skills * Basic computer skills (email, data entry, etc.)
