Summary Objective

This position is responsible for reporting analysts design and developing metrics, reports and analyses to drive key business decisions. They provide a link between raw enterprise data and management, so data extraction, analysis and transformation are key job responsibilities.

Essential Functions

  1. Acquire data from primary and secondary data sources and maintain databases and data systems.
  2. Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  3. Develop, modify, maintain and support custom reports for both ad-hoc and ongoing needs.
  4. Interpret data and analyze results.
  5. Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality.
  6. Assist with the review, consolidation and reduction of data discrepancies.
  7. Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  8. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment while out at plant locations. Protective Equipment supplied by the company includes: Coating suit, Coating Boots, Spray Socks, Respirator, Work Gloves, Safety Glasses and Ear Plugs. Employees may be required to provide additional Protective Equipment (Safety Shoes, etc.).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager. Some Saturdays and overtime are expected based on productions schedule.

Travel

Travel to local plants.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School diploma.
  2. Proven working experience as a data/reporting analyst.
  3. Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and techniques.
  4. Strong knowledge or and experience with reporting (Excel and Tableau).
  5. Requires high level computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet (MS Office, Word, Excel etc.) and presentation applications.
  6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Adept at queries, reporting writing and presenting findings.
  8. Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft products.
  9. Experience in business architectural, analysis and planning skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Associates Degree preferred.
  2. 5+ years of experience in Data Systems and Analysis preferred.
