Posting Summary |
Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Physician Specialist (Ultrasound Fellow) for the Emergency Medicine Department within New Jersey Medical School.
This position will gain expertise and leadership in the application, education, research, and administration of Emergency Ultrasound.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Assumes clinical responsibility for all patients under his/her medical care in the ED.
- Fulfills clinical and administrative services as required to ensure timely, safe, and standard-of-care treatment of ED patients, including adherence to policies and procedures of University Hospital, the Department of Emergency Medicine, and all state and federal regulatory organizations impacting the institution.
- Participates in formal resident, medical student, and faculty education as assigned by the ED Chair and/or Fellowship Director.
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers' regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Understands and adheres to Rutgers compliance standards as they appear in RBHS' Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Medical degree (MD/DO). Graduated in good standing from an accredited PGY1-4 Emergency Medicine residency. Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Emergency Medicine board eligibility. University Approved Verification Service.
