THE ROLE

Entegris is currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join our CMP Solutions Engineering team. This role will collaborate closely with our customer-facing team (Account Managers and Fab Technology Engineers), internal development team (R&D Product Designers, Formulation Scientists), and our Quality and Manufacturing teams to lead the development and transfer of innovation solutions which solve our customers' most challenging needs.

To be successful in this role, you must be a purposeful, hands-on, and committed problem solver with the ability to communicate effectively and work across functions with minimal direction. You will need strong business acumen with strategic and logical thinking skills to lead and influence the solution development strategy across functions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Utilize knowledge of semiconductor CMP module and device integration to interpret the customer requirements to define the problem which requires solution.
  • Develop and propose complete CMP module solutions utilizing Entegris' full value-added product offerings (slurry, pad, filter, PCMP clean, etc.) with BKM processes to solve our customer and industry challenges.
  • Work with multi-functional teams to understand and influence the customer engagement strategy and the product development strategy and develop the CMP experimentation plans for product development hypothesis testing and to develop the data packages which articulate product performance value and differentiation to the customer.
  • Prioritize, plan, execute, and summarize CMP experiments systematically designed with multi-functional teams and key stake holders.
  • Analyze experiments with statistical analysis tool (JMP) and derive conclusions with confidence.
  • Communicate key learning and conclusions to internal partners and customers clearly and with accuracy and agility.
  • Prepare data packages that define the CMP solution and then promote the solution both internally and to the customer.
  • Develop innovative and practical engineering solutions and CMP consumable test methodologies to accelerate product development and customer adoption progress.
  • Maintain expert knowledge about leading-edge CMP technology and products.

WHAT WE SEEK

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical subject area (chemistry, material science, chemical engineering, or related field) required. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience in CMP or related IC device manufacturing or technology development required.
  • In-depth understanding of CMP process and impact of CMP consumables (slurry, pad, clean, conditioner, filter, etc.) on performance and device yield.
  • Independent and self-driven with proven ability to progress complex projects within a team environment and lead the development of engineering solutions.
  • Demonstrated project management skill and knowledge of semiconductor device and integration scheme.
  • Statistical analysis skill utilizing JMP.
  • Ability to operate CMP process tools and related metrology equipments.
