Building Engineer

• Develop and execute maintenance programs for HVAC and mechanical systems, including preventive maintenance scheduling and monitoring.
• Analyze maintenance data and recommend system maintenance, upgrades, or replacements to Account Manager and customers.
• Act as the HVAC/mechanical expert, advising leadership, facilities managers, and technicians while providing training and quality control.
• Oversee maintenance, upgrade, or replacement projects and coordinate subcontractor work.
• Communicate with facility operations teams, tenants, system users, and stakeholders.
• Manage and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

• High school diploma or higher with at least 5 years of experience operating central plant equipment, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or electronic systems in Class A office environments.
• Certified in mechanical trades or trade school disciplines (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, automation/controls) and holds a Universal Certification.
• Journeyman-level expertise in HVAC, electrical, hydraulics, plumbing, or automation/controls, with the ability to interpret P&IDs, floor plans, site maps, and electrical diagrams.
• Proficient in repairing and maintaining building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC auxiliary systems, fire-life safety, and emergency generators.
• Strong communication skills, ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English, and perform arithmetic calculations accurately.
• Thorough knowledge of safe work practices, with the physical ability to wear a respirator, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
