Genesis10 is currently seeking a System Administrator with our client in the financial industry located in Richmond, VA. This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Provide technical support for IBM z/VM operating system Participates in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities Responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities Serve as a seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as a team member and individual contributor Requirements: Subject matter expert with z/VM operating system support General z/VM configuration including network (TCP/IP and FTP) General z/VM problem determination and corrective actions Familiar with IBM Service Request (IBM Link) Ordering and Installing maintenance/RSU (Shop Z and VM/SES) Operating system version upgrades Coding and maintaining custom systems utilities and exits (REXX and CMS Pipes) Building z/VM guest systems (z/OS and Linux) Experience installing program products from CA, Broadcom, etc. Performance and Tuning (Velocity Tools) Familiarity with VM:Secure Experience building and supporting Linux on Z virtual servers Technical writing and process mapping Assembler programming Pay Range: $33.92 - $41.92 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
