Position Overview:

Manage the planning, organizing, directing, and controlling of the RWC distribution function.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Accomplish short range and long-range goals/objectives through delegation, utilization of resources, and effective motivation techniques.
  • Ensure proper training of all shipping, receiving, and material handling personnel.
  • Maintain weekly personnel time reporting records and review time off requests.
  • Be available for extended hours as required to achieve goals/objectives.
  • Manage overtime schedule for team members.
  • BE "on Call" for night and weekend shift problems
  • Manage and review performance metrics of all shipping, receiving, and material handling personnel. Coaching and retraining as applicable, handle discipline as necessary.
  • Create and manage SAP deliveries in a manner to best utilize warehouse resources and meet customer ship dates.
  • Coordinate information with Customer Service/Sales/Marketing about shipments to promote on-time deliveries to customers.
  • Ensure that all related quality policies and procedures are followed.
  • Utilize Distribution metrics - LOTC, total output, develop additional management metrics
  • Tracking and utilization of material handling assets, make recommendations as necessary.
  • Conducts MBWA (Management by Walking Around) to ensure team member safety, address team member concerns, communicate essential information, and to enforce distribution and quality policy guidelines
  • Gain intimate knowledge of RWC distribution network and process as to be able to replicate them in multiple locations under the same structure.
  • Other duties as required

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four -year College or University; or one to two tears related experience and/or training
  • Prior supervisory experience or equivalent aptitude shown
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Good communications skills
  • Agile flexibility to move and connect equipment in various product set-ups
  • Excellent vision, hearing, speech, and motor skills
