BPI Finance Year-Round Intern

The Sherwin-Williams Finance internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in the Sherwin Business Services (SBS) Business Analytics Team.

The internship features hands on business process improvement experience, where you'll learn and support Oracle Financial and other business applications. You will gain meaningful exposure to disciplined financial continuous improvement processes that include defining requirements, conducting detailed analysis, assisting with solution design, and acting as a liaison between our client (e.g. business process owner/system users) and the technology resources responsible for system development.

This internship is scheduled to begin February 2025.

Year Round: This role requires availability to work a minimum of 15 hours and maximum of 28 hours per week during the school year and maximum of 37.5 hours during the summer, with the ability to work at least one (1) year.

Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.

Day to Day Responsibilities:



  • Provide quality End User Support for Oracle Financial and other financial business applications processes & tools. Primary stakeholder groups include Financial Shared Services business process owners and their system users.
  • Provide troubleshooting & issue resolution support.
  • Provide testing support in the form of project tasks, upgrades, and fixes.
  • Maintain and/or create documentation.
  • Complete research, data gathering and analysis.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts.

  • Global process standardization exposure by recommending ways to standardize process
  • Operational benchmarking experience through analysis of operational improvements

Minimum Requirements



  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must be enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Businessat the time of the internship
  • Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including overtime as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation



Preferred Qualifications



  • Be a rising or current Junior or Senior in college or university at the start of the internship program
  • Have prior school or work experience in finance, accounting, and business
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and/or Outlook)
  • Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
  • Previous experience in the Sherwin-Williams Corporate Finance Internship Program
