Job Title: Principal Associate Scientist (Contract)

Duration: One year plus extension

Key Must Have's: Must have strong ELISA experience and RFT (Right First Time) Philosophy

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Associate Scientist to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing experimental ELISA analysis, coordinating activities with third-party laboratories, and conducting various internal tests to support our projects. This role requires a strong background in biology, microbiology, or biochemistry and the ability to work collaboratively and independently to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct ELISA experimental analysis independently in-house, ensuring successful method development.
  • Plan, discuss, and execute activities related to ELISA projects at third-party contract laboratories.
  • Coordinate procurement and shipping of materials between third-party labs and Alnylam as needed.
  • Perform endotoxin tests and other compendial tests (e.g., appearance, pH, osmolality, UV analysis) on a need basis under supervision.
  • Conduct UV studies to determine molar extinction coefficients under supervision.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance and perform data mining as required.
  • Present data to internal and external stakeholders, solicit feedback, and incorporate suggestions to optimize project outcomes.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, preferably biology, microbiology, or biochemistry.
  • Strong understanding of ELISA method development and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Familiarity with shipping procedures and coordination between labs.
  • Proficiency in compendial testing methodologies and data review.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and manage multiple tasks effectively.


Preferred Skills



  • Experience working in a similar role within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
  • Demonstrated expertise in experimental analysis and project coordination.
