Junior Technical Communications Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Technical Communications Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a creative communicator who is eager to grow their skills in content creation, marketing strategy, and brand development. With 1-2 years of experience, you will assist in creating engaging content, executing communication strategies, and supporting internal and external messaging initiatives.

Travel: Up to 20%

You Will:

• Assist in developing and implementing communication plans, presentations, and messaging to support organizational objectives and team alignment.
• Collaborate with team members to create content, including blogs, social media posts, newsletters, and internal communications, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
• Support the execution of marketing campaigns, including managing social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and tracking engagement metrics.
• Contribute to the development of marketing materials such as presentations, infographics, brochures, and videos to support initiatives.
• Research industry trends and opportunities to enhance the organization's visibility and competitiveness.
• Provide administrative support for marketing and communication projects, including scheduling, reporting, and coordination across teams.
• Assist in tracking and analyzing campaign performance, offering recommendations for improvements.

You Have:

• US Citizenship
• Possession of or the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Level Security Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-2 years of experience in communications, content creation, or marketing support roles (internships included).
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Hootsuite, or HubSpot).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with content management systems and basic SEO/SEM principles.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and engagement strategies.
• A creative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
