  • Pay Level: 022
  • FLSA Category: Exempt - Salaried
  • Individual pay will be based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, internal equity, and other relevant factors.

A day in the life

The Enterprise Risk Management Analyst is responsible for assisting with processes that support the corporate ERM program in identifying, evaluating, and monitoring the organization's risks. This position utilizes ERM tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks, as well as monitor the management of risks according to the established ERM framework and methodologies.

Your responsibilities will include



  • Assists with implementing the risk management strategy which adequately factors in risk governance, risk management, risk quantification, and economic interdependence principles to achieve organizational objectives and goals.
  • Aids in the development of additional strategies which specifically target risk appetite, risk capacity, emerging risk issues, and risk management considerations. Integrates plans against opportunities and exposures.
  • Administers the collection and overall analysis of risk data received from a variety of methods and internal and external sources. Works with business owners to help develop risk response plans to address identified risks in support of the company's corporate strategic initiatives.
  • Obtains quantitative risk information and works to validate this data as it relates to risk exposure for the enterprise. Examines the feasibility of alternative risk control techniques to minimize risks for the company and recommends appropriate alternatives.
  • Collects insurance data from multiple internal sources and completes underwriting and renewal submissions. Ensures ongoing quality standards are met for the insurance program through various types of analysis. Collects certificate of insurance from vendors and ensures compliance with contract and all insurance program requirements and deadlines.
  • Develops and maintains effective networking relationships with business owners and management across all levels of the organization to promote open communication and company risk mitigation. Facilitates discussions to help educate and cultivate a risk culture and awareness of how to manage risks.
  • Drives development and advancement of key risk indicators. Monitors key performance, key risk, and key control indicators to support management and board-level reporting.
  • Leads, oversees, or supports special projects and other duties as assigned.



What you need to succeed



  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or related field.
  • 3 years of business analysis, financial analysis, internal audit, insurance risk management or a closely related experience required.
  • Experiences with the preparation or interpretation of financial statements and interacting with insurance carriers preferred. or related experience with a strong knowledge of benefits processes, practices, and administration.
  • Be a problem solver with the ability to research, analyze and define methods, practices, and procedures to resolve issues.
  • Desire to expand knowledge base as benefit practices continue to evolve in the workplace.
  • Clearly communicate and support employees in a variety of situations, while also being flexible and adaptable.
  • Brings a creative mindset and a go-get-em' attitude to find ways to improve upon processes and projects.
  • A strong ability to prioritize and organize work with varying timelines for projects and daily work.



Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards
