- The client is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the maintenance and sustainment of complex systems.
- The engineering technician will provide technical support and resolve defects in a timely manner.
- Provides case status updates to management and customers.
- Maintains and updates records in tracking databases and alerts management to emerging incidents, problems, or issues trends.
- Maintain and troubleshoot RF systems, electronic systems, and communication equipment.
- Diagnose hardware issues on enterprise servers, disk arrays, monitors, and computers.
- Troubleshoot failures using multiple OS platforms, including Windows, Linux, and Unix.
- Maintain an active record of troubleshooting and repairs using a ticket system.
- Diagnose, refurbish, and test hardware received from the field and lab.
- Gather, analyze, and report failure data trends and inventory levels.
- Inform and interact with the engineering team to recommend solutions to problems.
- Package, handle, and arrange transportation for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Track and follow up on outstanding equipment returns.
- Transport equipment between the lab, warehouse, and repair facility.
- Perform software builds on multiple baselines by following detailed procedures.
- Manage and safeguard assets, including government-furnished property.
- Process new hardware by tagging and capturing asset information into a database.
- Perform audits of hardware and reconcile asset databases.
- Guide on-site technicians during quarterly preventative maintenance.
- Perform responsibilities by established procedures.
- Work needs independent action to resolve issues.
- Works autonomously.
- Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information needing explanation or interpretation to understand and reach an agreement.
- Makes recommendations for solutions.
- Work is structured within identified boundaries and procedures.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

- Minimum of 8 years of electronic or electromechanical experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of Microsoft Windows experience.
