Aon Is Looking for A Claims Advocate for our Cyber Practice

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our New York, NY or Chicago, IL office locations.

What the day will look like
  • Handle the claims process for corporate clients from start to finish, including advising carriers of new claims
  • Be a resource and guide to clients navigating a cyber incident
  • Follow up for acknowledgment letters and coverage positions from insurers
  • Assist clients and brokers on coverage issues for Cyber, E&O, Media policies
  • Request and provide status updates from clients to insurers
  • Seek consent for retention of defense counsel and settlement opportunities
  • Establish lines of communication between clients and insurance carriers
  • Serve as a client advocate with the insurers
  • Take initiative and aggressively solve problems for clients
  • Maintain up-to-date records, including file maintenance and computer data maintenance
  • Timely and accurately collect claim data and otherwise contribute to data and information produced by Cyber Solutions for the benefit of business partners and clients
  • Coordinate with broader Cyber Solutions reactive and proactive cyber capabilities
  • Be accurate, responsive, consistent with customers; ensure high-level of customer service
  • Build and maintain good working relationships and communication with internal and external business partners and clients
  • Any and all other responsibilities as deemed necessary by supervisor to achieve the purpose of the job

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 2+ years claims, insurance or legal experience preferred, cyber experience a plus
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer focused and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve
  • Collaborative
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and perform in a high-paced environment
  • Must possess Microsoft Word and Excel computer skills
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of proven experience

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $85,000 - $115,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
