About This Position
The FL DOC Demand Planner is critical in the Supply Chain organization in their role of connecting supply and demand to achieve elevated levels of service for FL DOC. The position will work closely with the FL DOC Operations, the Demand Planning Manager, Procuement, and Sales on tasks and initiatives that will directly affect Supply Chain key performance indicators (KPIs). Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Own and manage FL DOC demand planning from end-to-end.
- Compile daily reports on inventory level and create actions to address low and overstock items.
- Own inventory availability, inventory turns, forecast accuracy and product expiration for items sold to FL DOC/Cheney Brothers.
- Effectively manage priorities and tasks as delegated from the management team.
- Maintain and evolve supplier relationships with preferred and critical suppliers.
- Negotiate supplier terms.
- Own and maintain data integrity for all items supplied to FL DOC/Cheney.
- Cross-functional work with finance, operations, sales, and other internal stakeholders.
- Manage enterprise metrics associated with supplier performance and drive category KPIs.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
- Four-year college degree (B.S., B.A.) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field preferred; or five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous planing and/or purchasing experience is require with proficency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
- Knowledge of Oracle, GAINS and Microsoft Power BI systems preferred.
- Comfortable working with large data sets in order to draw insights and develop action plans required.
- High degree of organization with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Skilled communicator with ability to work cross-functionally.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and tact.
- Ability to learn new software processes
- Must have a personal vehicle (no motorcycles or mopeds) that is registered and insured.
