Requisition ID req32210 Working Title Accountant 3- Neurology Position Grade 13 Position Summary Neurology is comprised of a great team of faculty staff and students. We want you to join our team! We seek a dynamic individual to join our team as an Accountant 3, to be a part of our dedicated team of staff and participate in our important mission and exciting growth. This position can be a hybrid work schedule, working partially in the office and partially remote (once training is complete). This position will play an important role in fiscal management for the department, including development of our annual budget, oversight of day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining internal controls, problem solving, acting as supervisor and mentor to our accounting team and providing fiscal leadership and guidance to other staff, research staff and faculty. The selected candidate will be responsible for oversight of the department's restricted and unrestricted accounting and will act as a strategic partner with the Department Administrator and Operations Manager to advance the strategic plan and goals of Neurology. Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
UNM Neurology plays a critical role in improving the health of all New Mexicans. UNM Hospital is the tertiary care center for the State and the only Primary Advanced Stroke Center, dedicated neuroscience critical care unit, Comprehensive Movement Disorder Center, NAEC level 4 epilepsy center, and ALS / MDA center in the State. Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 15 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications
