The SOM Business Operations department provides the School of Medicine with prompt, reliable financial and business services including: procurement, travel coordination and reimbursement, employee and lab moves, employee reimbursements, vendor payments, facilities, campus services requests, etc.; ensures accurate financial information is available and distributed; contributes to the control environment through the development of financial processes and dissemination of information regarding applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

The purpose of this position is to ensure the effective management, compliance, and optimization of financial, inventory, and operational processes within the UCR School of Medicine. This role supports the organization's mission by performing financial analysis, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining inventory control systems, managing data reporting, and providing exceptional customer service. The position also facilitates process improvements and develops innovative solutions to enhance workflow productivity and operational efficiency while safeguarding university assets and resources. Through collaboration and analytical expertise, this role plays a key part in sustaining and advancing the administrative and financial objectives of the School of Medicine.

The full salary range for the Financial Services Analyst 2 is $56,000.16 - $96,402.96 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $66,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
