The Production Scheduling Manager is responsible for leading a team tasked with maintaining the finite scheduling function at the plant. The Production Scheduling Manager will primarily be accountable for the service metrics at the plant and protect the voice of the customer within the operational organization while making decisions. Leading a team to maintain positive customer relationships internal and external while maximizing service levels and minimizing finished good supply issues are at the core of responsibilities and tasks assigned.

1st Shift: Monday - Friday. Will be supporting 24/7 facility.

  • Determine and implement supply chain strategies to achieve service goals.
  • Make decisions with the voice of the customer in mind.
  • Maintain positive relationships with key internal and external customers to ensure supply chain targets are achieved.
  • Manage appropriate levels of finished good inventories produced by plants by participating in the flash and takt processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement by supporting current and future business needs
  • Create and manage the finite schedule for assigned areas of responsibility and/or influence the work group assigned to do this task.
  • Develop, plan, and implement finite scheduling and production inventory control training initiatives.
  • Work with the buying/planning function to ensure finite schedules are maximizing service and accurate to raw material inventories.
  • Collaborate with the demand planning group to strive for forecast accuracy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or have at least four (4) years of work experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility or in an operations environment
  • Must have prior work experience using MRP (Material Resource Planning) and MPS (Material Production Scheduling) systems
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have a bachelor's degree or higher in Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Operations
  • Have at least 2 years of Management or Supervisory experience in a planning/scheduling/materials role
  • Have at least 1 year of Management or Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Have a APICS Certification
