Leadership Annual Giving Officer - Remote (MN)

Pay: $54,200- $81,150 per year (experience will be compensated)

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Shift times: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Location: Remote

Job type: Exempt

Travel: Occasional Travel required for events within the affiliate, but primarily within MN.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Implement annual fund development programs that support the ongoing operating budget, including soliciting financial support, encouraging event participation and leveraging engagement opportunities among identified supporter group segments.
  • Achieve individual annual fundraising goals, including achieving or exceeding a minimum of 50 weekly donor contacts, with an emphasis on gift solicitation, and $500k in donations annually.
  • Organize and implement a plan to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors at the $1000+ level through multi-channel engagement efforts delivering highly effective written and verbal communication.
  • Keep meticulous record of donor contacts and outcomes in the database as prescribed in team standard operating procedures.
  • Implement the strategic plan to grow the sustainer program, identify and solicit donors whose giving could be upgraded to the $1000+ level, cultivating and securing Planned Gifts, and selectively referring prospects to Major Gift Officers.
  • Assist Leadership Annual Giving Director in creating and implementing strategic annual fundraising work plans.
  • Provide appropriate stewardship to various segments of donors giving at leadership levels or identified as likely to give at leadership levels.



Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • One to three years of professional experience in development or a related field (i.e. sales, political organizing).
  • Willingness and ability to work well with high-level volunteers and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines.
  • Valid drivers' license.
  • Willingness to do some travel and work some nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Demonstrated success in soliciting funds from individual donors or similar, preferably at the $1,000+ level.
